Shayok Chakraborty

I am an Associate Professor in the Computer Science Department at Florida State University. I am also the Director of the MS program in Computer Science at FSU. I received my PhD in Computer Science from Arizona State University in 2013. Prior to joining FSU, I was employed as an Assistant Research Professor at ASU, where I was an Associate Director of the Center for Cognitive Ubiquitous Computing (CUbiC) laboratory. I have worked as a Postdoctoral researcher at Intel Labs, Oregon and in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at Carnegie Mellon University. I have also pursued a research internship in the Machine Learning department at Microsoft Research, Redmond. My research interests include Machine Learning, Computer Vision and AI for Healthcare.
I am currently on a sabbatical at the Robotics Institute, Carnegie Mellon University for the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 semesters.
